Briane Faletto Class A Golf Course Superintendent

Whew what a month June was. Flew by really fast. The Club Champion-ship and the Macon Middle Georgia tournaments were a great success. Now we are in the heart of the summer at The Brickyard. The greens are looking good and the Tees, Fairways, and Roughs are in great shape also. We plan on working on some of the areas away from the major play areas to help the aesthetics and long-term conditions of the course. We have done some of this with the Bush Hog and Skid Steer. We have to install some new drainage on #7 and fix an irrigation leak under the cart path by #8 Pro tee. We also want to install some new irri-gation heads that will reach the right side of the cart path on #13 to help the grass stay watered as needed. Wood chips will be installed to the left of #12 and the right side of #13. Pine straw will be installed also to help with course beautification. We hope everyone is enjoying the course and everyone stay cool! It’s getting hot out there!!!
