Golf Season begins in April. There’s nothing like sitting around the club, playing golf, then watching the Masters commentated by Jim Nantz. Pretty sweet if you ask me. Tiger Woods is scheduled to tee it up in Augusta.
With that being said, the Golf Shop will have a daily Masters week contest named “Pick Your Masters Pro Today.” Here is how it works. Each day club members will have the opportunity to select any Masters Pro to be his partner. Add the member’s net score to the Masters Pro score for a total score. Ties will split the winnings. We will award winnings on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Members Handicap Allowance = 85% of your Course Handicap. Details are in the Golf Shop.
Custom Club Fittings will feature TaylorMade returning on Friday, April 12th 10am-3pm. Mizuno will be here Friday, April 19th 11am-4pm. This is a member benefit, and we will be giving 10% OFF on all fitting day orders.
Moving into its 4th month, our Member Birthday Rewards Program is working out nicely each month. The program offers an additional 20% off the Brickyard Member Price to members during their birthday month. Applies to in stock merchandise only. Excludes price protected merchandise. Several new merchandise items will be arriving this season.
The 2 Man Hutch Cup is underway, 16 matches are to be played by April 16th cutting the field in half. We are now in the Round of 32. This bracketed tournament runs March through July. Mark your calendars, the Brickyard Invitational is July 8-9. Details and signups will be available mid-April.
Used Balls Needed: Our Junior Golf Program needs used balls this season like last year. Anyone that would like to drop off used balls, the golf shop office will be the collection place. Members were very gracious last year, donating nearly 1,000 used golf balls for our juniors.
Here is some kickoff information for the Brickyard PGA Junior League. We had an outstanding 2023 PGA Junior League, and we anticipate our 2024 League to be even better. Registration began March 5, 2024. Girls and Boys 15 and under are welcome to sign up. The entry fee will be $200 per junior for members and $300 per junior for non-members. This goes to the PGA Golf Staff “Derek Lafferty & Blair Mitchell & other instructors”, for golf instruction, on-course golf practice, introduction to the rules of golf weekly, home, and away matches against Houston Lake Country Club and Southern Landings, just to name a few. In addition, PGA Junior League has a one-time $99 registration fee per player, that each family will be responsible for completing online. The season starts April 4, 2024, through July 31, 2024. The 1st Practice will be held Thursday April 4th from 4-6pm. We’ve extended the Registration through April 16th. The golf shop will contact everyone as a reminder. We are close to 20 juniors in this year’s program.
