I hope everyone is enjoying the last of the summer months. September is when the temperatures should start to fall which means the growth of the grass will start to slow down. We have been working hard to keep a fresh cut and cleaning up all the clippings after the cutting. The blowers have been working extra hard!
The greens are in great shape heading into the cooler months. Our surface manage-ment program has been very successful this year. The long term health of the greens is right on track!

We have started all our pre-emerge applications. Timing is essential in trying to rid the course of the winter weeds. We hope to be even cleaner than we were last year.
We will be tackling a few small projects this month. We plan on getting the cart paths edged, some small trees cut down, and some cleaning of the grasses around the ponds. We will also continue to BushHog the chordgrass to keep it manageable. Thanks to Theron Ussery for his work on #17 pond, job well done!

Please remember to fix your divots and ball marks, and rake up your footprints in the bunkers. Keep in mind that others will be playing behind you!!
