A Macon native, Chef Rico’s culinary journey began at the William S. Hutchings Career Center, where he first discovered his passion for the culinary arts. He later refined his skills at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Atlanta while gaining valuable experience at both the Omni Hotel CNN Center and the Marriott Marquis.
Over the past two decades, Chef Rico has built an impressive culinary career throughout Middle Georgia, including leadership roles at the Macon Marriott City Center and Wesleyan College. Today, he brings that experience to Brickyard Golf Club, where he continues to elevate the member dining experience.
Many local residents may also recognize Chef Rico from his personal culinary brand, “Straight From Scratch.” Through his private chef business, he provides romantic dinners, custom catering, weddings, meal preparation services, and special events throughout the region.

Chef Rico is known for blending Southern comfort food with elevated presentation and scratch-made preparation. His signature dishes include:
