The Brickyard family remembers Willie Hearn Smith Jr., our beloved Santa, with affection and gratitude.
Willie brought warmth and joy to Christmas at the club. A visit beside Santa, children gathered for a story, a hug and a photograph—these are the moments our members and their families will carry with them.
Christmas 2025 was Willie’s last Christmas with us. We are grateful for the happiness he shared and for the photographs that preserve those visits.
A Macon native, Willie served in the U.S. Army and retired as a lieutenant colonel in the Corps of Engineers. He was a member of Nationwide Santas and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to his wife, Gale, and the entire Smith family. Willie will always have a place in our Brickyard Christmas memories.
Thank you, Willie, for the Christmas memories.
