Briane Faletto Class A Golf Course Superintendent

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer on the course. It is growing good and we are staying busy maintaining it. We were able to get some great maintenance practices done last month. We were successful in aerifying the greens, tees, and collars. This task is essential to help promote healthy turf. We will be getting the fairways done starting on July 1st. We had to delay this due to lack of rain and mechanical issues. We are focus-ing on the drainage issues in fairways. We will be using a machine that will have 3/4” tines, 10” in length. This will help us get sand down deeper into the soil profile helping with the drainage. This process will take 2 to 3 days. Please be patient with us for a few days.

Please remember to follow the cart traffic rules while playing. With our membership increasing, we need to be more careful about where we take the carts. Remember to stay off the green complexes by staying behind the white lines and use the 90 degree rule and stay on the cart paths for as long as possible.

Hope to see you on the course!
