Golf Shop News – September Update
The final four months of the year should bring comfortable temperatures and plenty of opportunities to enjoy golf with fellow members and guests. September also brings new merchandise, ongoing match-play competition and several major events on the Club calendar.
September Golf Shop Highlights
- Fall merchandise is arriving, including UGA, Mercer and Atlanta Braves apparel.
- FootJoy and Donald Ross orders are scheduled to arrive this fall.
- The Club Championship will be played September 12-13.
- The Individual Hutch Cup is underway, and the 2-Man Hutch Cup is down to its final match.
- Member-Guest week begins October 1, with tournament play October 2-4.
- The Senior Member-Guest Tournament will be held October 13.
New Fall Merchandise
September marks the arrival of fall merchandise in the Brickyard Golf Shop. Members can look for collegiate apparel representing UGA and Mercer, along with Atlanta Braves apparel for baseball fans. FootJoy and Donald Ross items are also expected this fall.
If the size or item you need is not in stock, the Golf Shop can place special orders. Members looking for a new golf bag are also encouraged to stop by and compare the Club’s pricing.
Hutch Cup and Brick Cup
The Individual Hutch Cup Match Play events are underway in the Net Division. Updated brackets are posted outside the Golf Shop.
The 2-Man Hutch Cup is down to its final match: Adam Bailey and Jay Michael will face Dennis Smith and Tom Duggan. Smith and Duggan must win twice to claim the championship; otherwise, Bailey and Michael will become the 2026 champions.
The Brick Cup Finale is scheduled for Saturday, November 7. The two members with the highest point totals will captain the teams, and members continue to earn points through participation and placement in member tournaments. With only a few events remaining, the race for the top 32 remains close.
Upcoming Championships and Member Events
- September 12-13: Club Championship
- October 1: Member-Guest practice round and 4:00 p.m. Par 3 Tournament
- October 2-4: Member-Guest Tournament
- October 13 at 10:00 a.m.: Senior Member-Guest Tournament
- November 7: Brick Cup Finale
The Member-Guest field reached 60 teams in just a day and a half, with 14 teams on the waitlist. The course and practice facilities will be closed to non-tournament member play during the Member-Guest.
The Senior Member-Guest will feature a scramble on the front nine and a shamble on the back nine. Additional details will be shared with members by email.
Member Birthday Rewards
Members may receive an additional 20% off the Brickyard Member Price during their birthday month. The discount applies to in-stock merchandise only and excludes price-protected items.
Tee-Time Reminders
Please cancel any tee times you will not use so another member has the opportunity to play. Tee times may be reserved up to 10 days in advance by calling the Golf Shop or booking through the member website.
When making a reservation, select the correct number of players and enter each player’s name. Members should also continue signing in on the daily sheet at the Golf Shop.
