Hello Club Members,
The month of February should be our last cold month before we head into the golf season. The cold frost de-lays have made for us to hold mid-day shotguns on the weekends for January and February. We should be in the clear for March and going forward.
Blair and I attended the 2022 PGA Merchandise Show the last week of January. Even though it was about half the size, we were able to meet with several apparel vendors and select what we think fits our membership. We selected Antigua. The merchandise is a great quality and it’s a price point which is just a bit lower than FJ. We were able to get Blair registered for the PGA Associates Golf Management Program. Here, he will complete over the next several years, the necessary book work needed to become a PGA Member. We also met with the PGA Junior League leadership team and The Brickyard Golf Club is registered as a 2022 Facility. Details below.
Here is some kickoff information for the Brickyard PGA Junior League. Registration will begin March 1st, 2022. Girls & Boys 13 and under are welcome to sign up. The entry fee will be $200 per player for members and $300 per player for non-members which goes to the PGA Golf Staff “Derek Lafferty & Blair Mitchell”, for golf prac-tice instruction and on-course golf practice. The PGA Junior League has a one-time $99 registration fee per player in addition that each family will be responsible for completing online. Season starts April 1, 2022, through July 31, 2022. The Player & Parent Meeting will be Sunday March 6th at 3pm in the Clubhouse. The 1st Practice date will be announced along with the Practice Schedule at the Player & Parent Meeting.
We are looking forward to a wonderful season with you all. February 13th will feature the Super Bowl Scram-ble. February 8th, the golf shop will start accepting signups for the Hutch Cup 2-Man Teams. This event will start March 1st and run through September. The February Ladies Clinics will be on Tuesday February 8th & 22nd begin-ning at 11am and lasting 1 hour. The cost will be $20 per session. Please call the golf shop to sign-up. Golf Les-sons are available for the membership either by a single lesson or through a lesson package.
As a reminder, please continue to sign in at the golf shop when arriving for your tee time. Also, if you’re not going to use your tee time, please Cancel your tee time either by calling the golf shop or by Cancelling it online at our website. This will allow other Club Members to book that time if desired. Tee times can be made 10 days out by either calling the golf shop or at our website. When reserving your tee time, please make sure you book it for one, two, three, four or five players. This ensures that other club members don’t book on your tee time when you’re expecting more players than what is booked.
