The end of the year “Brick Cup Finale Match” was played last month and Team Dallas Malone surpassed Team Brad Thigpen and totaling 74-70 match play points. The 2024 Member Tournament Schedule is posted in the Men’s & Women’s Locker Rooms and the golf shop. It is also on page 3 of this newsletter. This is a great way to plan out your family activities and still play in your favorite events.
On Sunday, December 3rd , The Brickyard is hosting “The Junior Tour” presented by Under Armour beginning at 1:30pm Shotgun, playing only the back nine holes (Holes 10-18) There will be close to 50 juniors in the competition. Members will be going off Hole #10 with tee times beginning at 8am-11:12am playing all 18 holes. Tee Times beginning at 1:48pm till 3:00pm will play the front nine holes only (Holes 1-9). You may play just 9 or if you want to play 18 holes then play the front 9 twice. We appreciate your understanding and bear with us in making this as smooth as possible, as this is a unique way of running Sunday’s golf operation. We have several club members playing in this event and it’s a great way for the Brickyard to support junior golf this year.
The Member Christmas Party is Saturday December 16th at 6pm. The Golf Shop Christmas SALE will be going on during the Party and will begin at 5pm and last till 8pm. The Christmas SALE will run December 16th – 24th. Lots of new FJ Outerwear and other items will be available for the Christmas SALE. Details will be announced a few days leading up to the Member Christmas Party. Golf Lessons make a nice stocking stuffer for the Holidays. Call Derek and Blair for details.
The next Member Tournament will be the Polar Bear Open, a 2-Person Scramble scheduled for 10am on January 6, 2024. Then, on Sunday February 11th the Super-Bowl Scramble will take place. Details on these upcoming events will be emailed out to the membership and posted at the Golf Shop in the coming days.
Please remember to call or cancel online your tee times if you’re not using. Tee Times can be made 10 days out by either calling the golf shop or by reserving a tee time at our website. We’ve noticed an improvement during the past few months on members signing in at the golf shop. Thank you. Please continue signing in at the golf shop be-fore going onto the course. Make sure that when reserving your tee time, either through calling the golf shop or online, you book it for one, two, three, four or five players. This ensures that other members don’t book on your tee time when you’re expecting more players that what is booked.
