Briane Faletto Class A Golf Course Superintendent

The Golf Course Maintenance department has been busy this winter getting the course ready for another great year of golf. In January we pruned a lot of trees, thinned some areas out by removing trees where they were over-crowded, and cleaned up a lot of the wooded areas on the course. We will continue this through-out February and hope to have a clean line of sight throughout the course.

This month we will continue with our pruning program and get some other winter projects completed. Some of these are: getting the area around #2 tee complex dried up and fix some of the drainage there, spraying the course for winter weeds, continuing with our bush hog and skid steer to clean up areas of the course.

On Tuesday, March 3rd, we will be spreading our spring fertilizer/pre-emerge. We will close the front nine down for a few hours, then close the back nine and open the front. This needs to be watered into the soil therefore we will be cart path only that day and on Wednesday, March 4th. This will ensure no damage to the spring growth.
We hope to see you out on the course!
